Buffer solutions are key components in the manufacture of therapeutic proteins. However, buffer preparation presents a significant bottleneck in the process. Current preparation methods are slow, labor-intensive, and require large footprints on manufacturing floors.

The NIIMBL BioPhorum BSB System has an open configurable design, and accurate mass flow control with modern automation and visualization, to deliver buffers over a wide range of flow rates.
Developed by a diverse team of industry experts, the NIIMBL-BioPhorum BSB System revolutionizes buffer preparation by providing the industry with a system designed, built, and tested to deliver buffer on-demand at a commercial scale, with significant cost savings in labor and cost per liter compared to traditional buffer preparation.
The NIIMBL BioPhorum Buffer Stock Blending System prototype model is currently located at the NIIMBL headquarters in Newark, Delaware.
